INDIA – Syntegon Technology India is making a strategic move in the country’s fast-growing snack segment, unveiling a suite of next-generation packaging solutions tailored to meet the evolving demands of Indian consumers and manufacturers.
At the Anuga FoodTec India 2025 expo in Mumbai, the company showcased two flagship machines, the SVL 2310 vertical bagger and the Pack 301 LS horizontal flow wrapper, designed to deliver speed, flexibility, and product protection for India’s growing snack and biscuit industries.
This move is driven by the rapid growth in the snack and biscuit industries, which is fueled by urbanization and shifting consumption habits.
This innovation follows the innovative packaging solution for sandwich cookies introduced by Syntegon in May this year.

Engineered for lightweight, low-density snacks like potato chips, the SVL 2310 vertical packaging machine can produce up to 110 bags per minute, or 220 with its twin version (SVL 2310T).
Its low drop height minimizes breakage, while tool-less format changes and a hygienic open design ensure quick maintenance and operator ease.
The compact footprint allows multiple machines to operate within the same floor space, making it ideal for high-throughput environments.

For biscuit manufacturers, Syntegon introduced the Pack 301 LS horizontal flow wrapper, equipped with an automatic measuring loader (SDML).
Capable of handling round, square, and rectangular formats, the machine delivers up to 250 packs per minute with duplex infeed.
Its servo-driven architecture ensures gentle handling of delicate products, maintaining quality while maximizing efficiency.
Under the leadership of Managing Director Ashish Deshpande, Syntegon is doubling down on its “India-for-India” strategy, developing cost-effective, eco-conscious machines tailored to domestic needs while also serving export markets across Southeast Asia, Africa, and the Middle East.
With full assembly and testing conducted at its Verna (Goa) facility, the company ensures high compliance and safety standards across its entire range of offerings.
Syntegon is also exploring recyclable films and paper-based laminates in collaboration with global partners, such as Nestlé. However, adoption among smaller players remains limited due to cost and technical constraints.
The company’s scalable designs and extensive after-sales service network, comprising 23 engineers across India, further reinforce its commitment to long-term customer success.
As urbanization and changing consumption habits fuel India’s rapidly growing snack sector, Syntegon’s advanced packaging systems position it as a strategic enabler, delivering speed, sustainability, and precision for a market that is hungry for innovation.
