This move taps into plantain chips’ growth as a versatile, nutrient-dense alternative in the better-for-you category, driven by global flavor trends and clean eating preferences.

USA – Snax-Sational Brands has partnered with Chiquita, the globally recognized banana brand, to launch Chiquita Plantain Chips, a five-flavor lineup targeting the surging demand for fresh, better-for-you snacks with international appeal.
Produced in Ecuador, the chips move from farm harvest to packaging in just 24 hours, using hand-selected plantains and only three to four simple ingredients to ensure exceptional freshness, crunch, and quality.
The range includes Chile Limón, Garlic, Scoops with Sea Salt, Original, and Sweet varieties, each in 8oz bags priced at a suggested US$4.99.
Naturally gluten-free and vegan-friendly, these clean-label snacks cater to health-conscious consumers seeking bold, globally inspired flavors for dipping, sharing, or standalone enjoyment.
The Scoops variant enhances versatility for salsas and dips, while Sweet offers a natural indulgence.
Chiquita Licensing Manager Maria Janis emphasized the collaboration’s alignment with the brand’s premium quality standards, bringing fun and freshness to new snacking occasions.
Maria Janis, licensing manager at Chiquita Brands, said: “Chiquita has always stood for quality and a premium food experience. This collaboration allows Snax-Sational Brands to present the Chiquita brand in a way that is fresh, fun, and true to our commitment to quality.”
