The IFS Food Standard is recognized internationally by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI).
EGYPT – Regina Group, one of Egypt’s leading pasta manufacturers, and Takamol Group, a leading Egyptian consulting firm, have partnered to implement the International Featured Standard Food version 8 (IFS Food V8), the international standard for food safety management.
This collaboration reflects Regina Group’s commitment to conveying food secure, high-quality products through all inclusive globally recognized frameworks.
IFS is a joint venture of the French retail association FCD and the German retail association HDE that develops globally recognised product safety and quality standards and programs for companies that operate within the food and consumer goods supply chain.
The IFS Food Standard reviews a food producer’s products and production processes to evaluate their ability to produce safe, authentic, and quality products based on legal requirements and customer specifications by conducting audits that are done by qualified IFS auditors.
The standard supports businesses in meeting the increasing transparency and traceability demands in the market and contributes to improving product integrity and increasing efficiency.
IFS Food V8 introduces stricter requirements for environmental monitoring to assess and control microbiological and physical hazards in production facilities.
The standard includes a revised scoring system and more consistent wording to improve clarity and consistency in assessments.
It also introduces new requirements on validation and revalidation procedures, hand hygiene, chemical product management, and correction of deviations and non-conformities
