Pringles unveils its new Blazin’ Fried Chicken flavour

Inspired by Nashville-style fried chicken, the new flavour responds to a notable 23% increase in demand for spicy snack varieties across Europe.

UK – Kellanova-owned snack brand Pringles is set to enhance its offerings in the UK convenience channel with the launch of its latest flavor, Blazin’ Fried Chicken.

This introduction follows a successful rollout across major grocery chains and is part of a broader strategy to capitalize on the growing consumer preference for spicy snacks.

This trend reflects a rising appetite among consumers for bold flavours, with Google searches for Nashville-style chicken in the UK reportedly surging by 120% over the past year.

Blazin’ Fried Chicken joins Pringles’ existing Hot portfolio, which includes flavours like Smokin’ BBQ Ribs, Kickin’ Sour Cream, and Sweet Chilli, each offering different levels of heat.

“With the rise in popularity of hot and spicy foods in the UK, our new Blazin’ Fried Chicken flavor taps into this growing trend to provide consumers with more variety and choice when it comes to spicy snacks,” said Seanáin McGuigan, Pringles’ brand manager for the UK and Ireland.

The introduction of Blazin’ Fried Chicken is expected to create significant opportunities for retailers, particularly in the convenience sector.

With Pringles’ established reputation and the anticipated consumer enthusiasm for this new flavour, retailers are encouraged to take advantage of this trend by promoting the product effectively.

Pringles is already making the flavor available nationwide through key distributors such as Bestway, Dhamecha, Parfetts, Sugro, and Unitas.

The new product will be available in a 160g pack with a recommended retail price of £2.75 (US$3.67).

Last month, Pringles partnered with Miller Lite to create a collection of limited-edition crisps inspired by popular beer-infused barbecue flavors. Each flavor offers a unique combination of grilled foods and the hoppy, malt aroma of Miller Lite beer.

The new chip flavors include Pringles x Miller Lite Beer Can Chicken, which features the savory taste of roasted chicken enhanced with notes of garlic and onion, paired with the authentic flavour of Original Light Beer.

The other flavour, Pringles x Miller Lite Grilled Beer Brat, boasts a smoky grilled brat taste complemented by hints of black pepper, caramelized onion, and brown spices, infused with the essence of Original Light Beer through its hoppy malt aroma.
