CANADA – Parrish & Heimbecker, Ltd. (P&H), a Canadian family-owned agribusiness, has purchased a deep-water bulk marine export terminal located at the Port of Quebec in Quebec City from Societe En Commandite Terminal Grains for an undisclosed amount.
P&H stated that this facility, positioned in a vital eastern shipping corridor along the St. Lawrence River, will significantly enhance the company’s operations and support its goal of improving Canada’s grain handling and transportation infrastructure.
“Acquiring a terminal in Quebec City aligns perfectly with our long-term growth strategy. It enables us to provide even more reliable and efficient services to our customers while optimizing our logistics and supply chain across the nation,” said John Heimbecker, CEO of P&H.
Additionally, with this acquisition, P&H has established a new commercial partnership with QSL International Ltd., whose extensive experience and presence at the Port of Quebec will facilitate the effective integration and operation of the terminal.
P&H is dedicated to collaborating with the Port of Quebec to meet operational standards, and current staff will continue to manage the facility.
