Palermo, Kellanova launch Cheez-It frozen pizzas

These Cheez-It frozen pizzas are available at a suggested retail price ranging from US$6.99 to US$9.99.

USA – Palermo Villa, Inc. has partnered with Kellanova to introduce Cheez-It frozen pizzas, featuring a 12-inch ultra-thin crust that is flavored like the original Cheez-It, topped with 100% real cheese and a variety of popular pizza toppings.

The new pizza line comes in three delicious varieties:

  • Italian Four Cheese: A blend of whole milk mozzarella, yellow cheddar, parmesan, and Romano cheeses with marinara sauce on top of an ultra-thin and crispy Cheez-It flavored crust.
  • Pepperoni: Whole milk mozzarella, yellow cheddar, pepperoni, and marinara sauce atop an original Cheez-It flavored crust.
  • Cheddar Jack Supreme: A combination of pepperoni, Italian sausage, green and red peppers, black olives, onions, yellow cheddar, and Monterey Jack cheese, all resting on an original Cheez-It flavored crust with marinara sauce.

“Cheez-It frozen pizza combines the best aspects of both categories. Starting with a crust that resembles a large Cheez-It cracker — crispy, cheesy, and square-shaped — we then top it with customer-favorite toppings that perfectly complement the crust,” said Nick Fallucca, Chief Innovation Officer for Palermo.

The pizzas can be purchased at select nationwide retailers, including Kroger, Ahold, H-E-B, Winn-Dixie, Wegmans, and Food City, with plans to expand to additional stores by August.

Founded in 1964 and headquartered in Milwaukee, Palermo’s Pizza is a frozen pizza manufacturer known for several branded products, including Palermo’s Primo Thin, Palermo’s Neighborhood Pizzeria, Screamin’ Sicilian, Urban Pie Pizza Co., and Connie’s Pizza, as well as various private label items.

The company markets its products under several well-known brands, including the Kellogg’s brand itself, Rice Krispies Treats, Pringles, Eggo, and Cheez-It. Outside of North America, Kellanova sells cereals like Corn Flakes, Rice Krispies, Frosties, and Coco Pops.

Recently, Kellanova has collaborated with other companies to create innovative new products. In January, they partnered with Krispy Kreme to unveil the limited-edition Krispy Kreme x Pop-Tarts® Crazy Good Doughnuts Collection, which includes:
