Oreo partners with Reese’s to launch new mashup cookie

USA – Mondelēz International’s Oreo brand has partnered with The Hershey Company’s Reese’s to launch two new treats in a move that’s thrilling snack lovers across the United States.

The partnership comes after years of fan speculation and social media buzz asking for flavor mashup of cookie and candy.

The partnership introduces the Reese’s Oreo Cup, a bold twist on the classic peanut butter cup.

This innovative creation combines Oreo’s classic chocolate sandwich cookies with Reese’s distinctive peanut butter cream.

This new creation features Reese’s signature peanut butter filling blended with Oreo cookie crumbs, all encased in a dual-layer shell of milk chocolate and white Oreo creme.

Available in standard, king, and miniature sizes, the Reese’s Oreo Cup will hit shelves nationwide in September 2025 and is set to become a permanent addition to the Reese’s lineup.

While this cookie will initially be available as a limited-time offering starting in September, it’s slated to return permanently in January 2026, joining Oreo’s core portfolio.

The collaboration is not only a sweet treat but also a strategic move in a challenging market.

Both companies are navigating shifting consumer habits and rising ingredient costs, with Hershey recently announcing price hikes due to soaring cocoa prices.

By tapping into nostalgia and fan-driven demand, the brands aim to reignite excitement in the snack category.

“This isn’t just another product launch, it’s two legendary brands coming together to create something absolutely unprecedented,” said Dan Mohnshine, VP of U.S. Confection Marketing at Hershey.

Presales for both products begin August 18 on Hershey’s and Oreo’s websites, with early access sign-ups already live.

The upcoming launch is expected to generate a significant buzz, especially among younger consumers who have been experimenting with their own flavor combinations on social media platforms like TikTok and Instagram.

With this dual rollout, Oreo and Reese’s are not just satisfying cravings; they’re rewriting the rules of brand collaboration.
