Miwe opens new branch in France

This initiative aims to manage sales and service activities from the local market, providing more efficient support to French professional customers.

FRANCE – MIWE, a leading German manufacturer of bakery ovens and fermentation technology, has announced the establishment of MIWE France, its new subsidiary in France.

With MIWE France, the company is creating a strong local presence, complete with a dedicated team and premises.

This new structure replaces the previous arrangements for local representation, facilitating more continuous, reliable, and close collaboration.

For French customers, this means quicker communication and designated contacts for assistance. Technical advice, project support, and service interventions will now be executed more efficiently, with a focus on the specific requirements of the industry.

“Choosing MIWE means opting not only for top-quality solutions and products but also for the assurance of having a solid, accessible, and committed partner by your side. With MIWE France, we are delivering on this promise reliably, sustainably, and with genuine commitment to the French market.” said Sabine Michaela Wenz, Managing Director of MIWE.

Raphaël Reppel, an industry expert with a solid background as an artisan and extensive market knowledge, will lead the new subsidiary.

As a trained baker and master craftsman with rich experience in the commercial sector, he understands both customer needs and technical requirements, having worked with MIWE for many years.

Operational development will begin in Alsace, and alongside team building, the service offerings will be gradually expanded locally.

In addition to sales, MIWE France aims to provide services such as planning, training, and technical support directly within France.

Close coordination with MIWE’s headquarters in Arnstein will ensure continuity in terms of quality and innovation.

MIWE was founded by inventor Michael Wenz, who created his first oven in 1919 in Arnstein, Germany.

Technologically, MIWE systems are among the most advanced in the market. The company has inspired numerous innovations that have fundamentally transformed the baking industry.

The deck oven, introduced in 1954, became a key cornerstone of the MIWE business. In 1967, the introduction of the MIWE rotator (now known as the MIWE roll-in) led to the widespread success of rack ovens in Central and Western Europe.

Another groundbreaking innovation by MIWE was the rack oven, which was previously unknown in Central Europe and the rest of the world until the 1970s.

Further advancements include optimized steam technology with MIWE atmojet, the ‘Atmospheric Baking’ concept, aroma-enhancing freezer technology with MIWE smartproof, the expansion of MIWE in-store baking systems to include special gastronomic functionalities, and the integration of vacuum conditioning into the manufacturing process.
