The installation is part of a comprehensive pasta processing plant that began with a 1,000 kg/h Short-Cut Line
TOGO – Italian pasta technology leader AXOR has achieved a historic milestone with the installation of a 2,200 kg/h Multi-Tier Long-Cut Pasta Line in Togo, marking the first installation of its kind in the West African nation.
This groundbreaking project, part of a larger effort to expand pasta production capacity in emerging markets, demonstrates AXOR’s engineering expertise and global footprint, while supporting food security and industrial growth in the region.
The installation is part of a comprehensive pasta processing plant that began with a 1,000 kg/h Short-Cut Line and now includes the high-performance Long-Cut Line. With this expansion, the facility is capable of producing a wide variety of pasta types, including spaghetti, vermicelli, and bucatini, at industrial scale.
The long-cut line utilizes advanced technologies such as a stainless-steel low-shear compression screw for optimal dough texture, a multi-tier spreading system for even pasta distribution, and AXOR’s proprietary Thermo Active System (TAS) for controlled drying conditions, ensuring product quality and consistency.
The project was realized in partnership with Alapala Holding, a global player in grain and food processing systems. According to the company, this facility not only affirms its leadership in pasta technology but also highlights its commitment to bringing high-efficiency food production lines to underserved markets.
The development follows the recent announcement by the pastaprocessing technologies giant to build Mali’s most automated pasta factory.
The facility would feature both a 2,000 kg/h (2T/H) short-cut pasta line and a 2,000 kg/h (2T/H) long-cut pasta line, positioning it as the most automated pasta production site in the country.
In addition, in December 2024, AXOR commissioned a short-cut pasta production line in Pakistan with a capacity of 2,000 kilograms per hour.
Additionally, in August 2024, AXOR signed a contract with MENA Food Chad to construct Chad’s first pasta factory, expected to be operational by mid-2025 with a production capacity of 2,000 kilograms per hour.
These projects demonstrate AXOR’s commitment to providing innovative solutions that support sustainable development in the regional and global food industry.
“This milestone is a testament to our engineering expertise and global reach, as we continue to bring high-performance pasta solutions to every corner of the world. We don’t just build machines, we build partnerships and make pasta innovation possible, anywhere,” AXOR said on LinkedIn.
