The deal strengthens Gonnella’s manufacturing capabilities on the West Coast, aligning with rising demand in foodservice and retail channels.
The acquisition centers on Lineage’s state-of-the-art 50,000 sq. ft. facility in Centralia, Washington, now operating as Gonnella Frozen Products, LLC.
Equipped with advanced sheeting lines, high-speed systems, robotic stacking, and an Innovation Center for product development, the site enhances efficiency and quality control.

The transaction closed on August 1, 2025, with a Transition Services Agreement extending through November 30, 2025, ensuring smooth operations.
This move creates a coast-to-coast network, with facilities now in Illinois, Pennsylvania, and Washington, improving supply-chain resilience amid volatile freight costs.
Tony Mazukelli, Gonnella’s secretary-officer and director, highlighted faster regional access and production flexibility for customers.
Lineage, Inc., the world’s largest temperature-controlled warehouse REIT, will provide ongoing warehousing and distribution support, underscoring a partnership for scalable growth.

It positions Gonnella to innovate on formulas amid trends such as plant-based and ready-to-bake solutions, while mitigating risks from supply disruptions.
The deal reflects broader M&A activity in food processing, where strategic facilities drive efficiency.
Gonnella’s growth strategy emphasizes quality and nationwide service, with the Centralia site enabling new product optimization for retail partners.
