Fritos re-introduces Fritos Queso Flavor Twists; Hershey, General Mills launch Kisses Cinnamon Toast Crunch

Fritos has permanently reintroduced its Queso Flavor Twists, while the Kisses Cinnamon Toast Crunch product is available for a limited time.

USA – Frito-Lay’s Fritos brand is bringing back the Fritos Queso Flavor Twists, combining the flavours of chips and queso into a single, twisted, and crunchy snack.

Since making a limited-time appearance in 2023, consumers have eagerly requested the return of this cheesy, twisted corn chip.

The Fritos Queso Flavor Twists join the Honey BBQ variant in the Fritos Twists family and are available in various sizes: 9.25 oz for $5.89, 3.375 oz for $2.69, and 32 oz for $10.62 at retail stores across the country and on Snacks.com.

Fritos is a brand of corn chips that was created in 1932 by Charles Elmer Doolin and has been produced by the Frito-Lay division of PepsiCo since 1961.

Along with Lay’s, Fritos is one of the two brands representing Frito-Lay. Fritos are made by deep-frying extruded whole cornmeal, which differs from tortilla chips that are made from cornmeal using the nixtamalization process.

Nixtamalization is a process that prepares maize (corn) or other grains by soaking and cooking them in an alkaline solution, typically limewater, followed by washing and hulling.

Hershey, General Mills collaborate on limited-edition Kisses Cinnamon Toast Crunch

Meanwhile, The Hershey Company has partnered with General Mills to introduce a new flavor of Hershey’s Kisses: Cinnamon Toast Crunch-flavored candies.

This new treat features smooth white crème infused with cinnamon sugar and graham cracker-flavored cookie bits, creating a unique taste that combines the beloved qualities of both Hershey’s Kisses and Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal.

This limited-edition product is available nationwide and appeals to the trend of unique flavor combinations favored by younger consumers. It aims to capture the interest of Gen Z and Millennials, who often seek unconventional snack options.

Katie DeCapria, senior brand manager at The Hershey Company, emphasized the importance of unexpected flavor pairings in today’s market, noting that Hershey’s Kisses have always been a go-to for sweet moments, and the Cinnamon Toast Crunch flavor will make those moments even more memorable.

“Cinnamon Toast Crunch is a favourite in the cereal aisle, and we’re always looking for ways to bring our iconic taste to other places our consumers love,” said Brandon Tyrrell, marketing communications manager at General Mills.

The candies are packaged in 9-ounce bags and are promoted as a versatile snack option suitable for various occasions, including family gatherings or on-the-go moment.
