Ferrero introduces Kinder Crunchy Cookies in global travel retail channel

Offered in a 136-gram pack specifically designed for the travel retail segment, the cookies aim to delight on-the-go travelers seeking convenient and enjoyable snacking options.

ITALY – Ferrero Travel Market has officially introduced its new Kinder Crunchy Cookies to the global travel retail channel through an exclusive partnership with Avolta, a leading player in the travel retail and food & beverage sectors.

The launch is part of Ferrero’s broader push to diversify its confectionery offerings and tap into the growing demand for indulgent, portable snacks among international travellers.

Following its strong success in domestic markets, Kinder Crunchy Cookies will be available starting September 2025 in Avolta’s travel retail stores worldwide, including airports, ferry terminals, and border shops.

Kinder Crunchy Cookies are positioned under Ferrero’s La Biscotteria concept, which showcases biscuit innovations from its flagship brands, including Kinder and Nutella.

The new cookies blend Kinder’s signature creamy milk and chocolate flavors with a crispy biscuit base, offering a satisfying texture and a familiar taste profile that appeals to both children and adults.

Offered in a 136-gram pack specifically designed for the travel retail segment, the cookies aim to delight on-the-go travelers looking for convenient and enjoyable snacking options.

The rollout follows Ferrero’s successful introduction of other biscuit lines such as Kinder Cards, Nutella Biscuits, and Happy Hippo, which have gained traction in select European domestic markets and duty-free channels.

According to Sergio Salvagno, General Manager of Ferrero Travel Market, the biscuit category remains underdeveloped in travel retail, presenting a significant opportunity for growth.

Kinder Crunchy Cookies will be featured in airports, border stores, and ferry outlets, targeting impulse buyers and families seeking high-quality snacks on the go.

The packaging is designed with sustainability in mind, featuring recyclable materials and resealable formats that align with Ferrero’s environmental goals.

This launch coincides with Ferrero’s broader commitment to innovation and responsible consumption.

This launch is supported by a comprehensive 360-degree marketing campaign including in-store activations, targeted media investments, and digital engagement strategies.

These efforts aim to increase awareness and excitement among shoppers at key travel retail touchpoints globally.

By introducing Kinder Crunchy Cookies to the travel retail space, Ferrero strengthens its position as a category leader and reinforces its reputation for blending tradition with modern snacking trends.

The move also reflects shifting consumer preferences, with travellers increasingly seeking premium, ready-to-eat options that deliver both flavor and functionality.

With Kinder Crunchy Cookies now available globally, Ferrero is positioned to capture a larger share of the travel retail biscuit market.
