EGYPT – The Egyptian Swiss Pasta, Grinding, and Concentrates Group has revealed that it has obtained five new international quality certifications earlier this year, enhancing its competitiveness and enabling it to expand into international markets.
Engineer Mahmoud Mustafa, Director of Quality and Food Safety at the company, stated that the newly acquired certifications will open up new export opportunities, positioning the company to meet the increasing demand for its products in multiple regions.
With a continued focus on quality and sustainable development, Egyptian Swiss Pasta Group is set to build on its existing successes, demonstrating its ability to meet the growing demand for high-quality, safe, and environmentally responsible products in international markets.
According to Mustafa, the group has received the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) certification, which is essential for entering the highly regulated U.S. market.
Additionally, the company obtained the FSSC 22000 certification, a globally recognized standard for food safety management, allowing it to enter markets with the strictest quality and food safety requirements.
The company also received the Egyptian Halal certification, making it eligible to export to Muslim-majority countries. This certification guarantees that the company’s products meet the Halal requirements, which are crucial for many markets globally.
On the occupational health and safety front, the group further bolstered its global appeal by securing ISO 45001:2018 certification. This internationally recognized standard highlights the company’s commitment to providing a safe and healthy work environment, thereby ensuring compliance with the highest safety standards in the industrial sector.
In terms of environmental responsibility, Engineer Sameh Afifi, Health and Safety Director at Egyptian Swiss, emphasized the group’s ISO 14001:2015 certification.
“This certification affirms the company’s commitment to reducing its environmental impact and minimizing carbon emissions, aligning with global market demands for sustainability,” Afifi noted.
The group also renewed its ISO 9001:2015 certification for quality management systems, underscoring its dedication to continuous improvement and customer satisfaction. Furthermore, it obtained the ISO 22000:2018 Food Safety Management System Certification, reinforcing its commitment to the highest standards of food safety in production and distribution.
Mahmoud Mustafa highlighted the strategic importance of these certifications, noting that it will enable Egyptian Swiss to offer world-class products that meet rigorous international standards, expanding its market share in Europe, America, the Gulf, and Africa.
