CIRANDA adds two new plant-based baking chips

The launch expands CIRANDA‘s portfolio of specialty ingredients and underscores its commitment to innovation in the clean-label baking segment.

USA – CIRANDA, a leading North American supplier of certified organic, non-GMO and fair-trade food ingredients, announced the launch of two new baking chips: organic plant-based white chips and organic chocolate chips made with coconut sugar.

CIRANDA’s new chips are produced in an allergen-free facility and align with current consumer demand for plant-based sweets made without dairy.

CIRANDA’s organic, plant-based white chips add a smooth, creamy touch to decadent desserts like cookie dough, nutrition bars, snacks, and frozen treats.

These chips provide a velvety texture and mild sweetness, all without any dairy.

Made from single-origin sources, the semi-sweet chips feature 45% cocoa butter and hints of vanilla.

They are certified organic, non-GMO, kosher, dairy-free, gluten-free, vegan, and manufactured in an allergen-free facility that avoids the top nine major US allergens.

CIRANDA’s organic, plant-based white chips feature premium organic cocoa butter sourced from smallholder farmers in Peru’s Andean foothills.

The primary ingredients, including organic cocoa butter and organic cane sugar, are meticulously refined in advanced facilities to deliver their signature smooth, uniform texture.

CIRANDA’s organic chocolate chips, sweetened with coconut sugar, offer a deep, bittersweet profile.

Available in 70% bittersweet format, this chocolate is made from organic cocoa beans sourced in Peru’s Andean region.

Delicate fruit and floral undertones pair with the gentle sweetness of coconut sugar, creating a refined flavour experience.

They are certified organic, non-GMO, kosher, dairy-free, gluten-free, and manufactured in a facility free from the top nine major US allergens.

Unlike cane sugar refining, coconut sugar undergoes a straightforward evaporation method that retains more of its inherent nutrients and nuanced flavor profile.

These chips feature consistent sizing for seamless incorporation and reliable melting in final products.

“These new chips give developers real flexibility to create indulgent products that are also inclusive and aligned with today’s clean-label and dietary expectations,” said Mariah Sandkamp, director of marketing, innovation and product for CIRANDA.

CIRANDA offers its organic chocolate with optional Fairtrade America (FLO) certification upon request, allowing sales through Fair Trade USA to support small-scale farmers.

This certification guarantees higher crop premiums, safe working conditions, equitable wages, and additional advantages.

The premiums fund community initiatives like shared tool banks, expert agro-consultancy services, and enhancements to schools or playgrounds for children.

With these two new additions, CIRANDA continues to strengthen its reputation as a pioneer in sustainable food innovation, offering solutions that meet the needs of today’s health-conscious and socially aware consumers.
