This installation in Algeria adds to AXOR‘s impressive global footprint, with over 170 pasta production lines commissioned worldwide.
ALGERIA – AXOR, a leading Italian manufacturer of pasta production equipment, has successfully installed a 600 kg/h short-cut pasta line in Algeria.
The successful installation in Algeria underscores the company’s dedication to delivering customized, efficient, and high-quality pasta production solutions tailored to meet diverse production needs.
Announcing the milestone on the company’s LinkedIn page, AXOR states that the newly commissioned line is designed to optimize space and energy efficiency without compromising on quality.
It features a high-resistance stainless steel structure, an automatic press, a shaking pre-dryer (trabatto), dual automatic dryers with continuous aluminum and stainless steel conveyor belts, a cooler, and a vacuum pump with an oil system.
The system operates with an average absorbed electric power of 60 kW/hour and requires a minimum building space of 40 meters in length, 10 meters in width, and 7 meters in height.
AXOR’s decision to implement a 600 kg/h line aligns with its broader strategy to offer scalable solutions for pasta producers of varying capacities.
The company’s portfolio includes short-cut pasta lines ranging from 700 to 6,000 kg/h, monotier and multi-tier long-cut lines, special-shaped pasta lines, couscous lines, instant pasta lines, gluten-free pasta lines, and snack pellet production lines.
This installation in Algeria adds to AXOR’s impressive global footprint, with over 170 pasta production lines commissioned worldwide.
The company has recently expanded its presence in regions such as Pakistan, where it commissioned a 2,000 kg/h short-cut pasta line and in Mali with a similar capacity.
According to the company, the Mali’s project is set to commence in the coming months, with AXOR overseeing the engineering, manufacturing, and installation of the complete turn-key facility.
While specific details about the project’s timeline and partnerships have yet to be disclosed, the initiative reflects a concerted effort to enhance Mali’s industrial capabilities and provide high-quality pasta products to meet domestic demand.
In addition, the pasta production equipment giant signed a contract with MENA Food Chad in August 2024 to construct Chad’s first pasta factory, expected to be operational by mid-2025 with a production capacity of 2,000 kilograms per hour.
These projects demonstrate AXOR’s commitment to providing innovative solutions that support sustainable development in the regional and global food industry.
AXOR’s comprehensive approach includes conducting extensive feasibility and R&D studies before initiating any project. These studies assess factors such as project location and specific pasta types to optimize efficiency and profitability for clients. In addition, each production line undergoes rigorous testing to ensure high performance and energy efficiency prior to commissioning.
