Ardent Mill launches new baking ingredients crafted to meet evolving consumer preferences

USAArdent Mills, a premier flour-milling and ingredient company, has launched two new products, Ardent Mills Egg Replace and Ancient Grains Plus Baking Flour Blend designed to enable its customers to capitalize on new market growth, meet evolving consumer preferences.

According to the company, the new offerings are designed with innovative, cost-effective solutions to meet evolving consumer preferences for quality ingredients and great taste and help alleviate supply chain challenges.

Goldberg added that the products, Ardent Mills Egg Replace and Ancient Grains Plus Baking Flour Blend, underscore our commitment to being strategic partners with our customers by providing proactive solutions to industry challenges while simultaneously meeting consumer demand.

Egg Replace serves as a 1:1 replacement for dried and liquid whole eggs, formulated with chickpea flour and three other ingredients, the product is gluten-free and vegan and contains no major US food allergen or soy ingredients.

According to Ardent, with the rising demand for cost-effective egg alternatives due to reoccurring avian flu, inflation, and growing interest in cage-free initiatives, the Egg Replacement offering is timely for the industry, adding that the ingredient is designed for optimal taste, function, and ease of use in bakery applications.

On the other hand, the Ancient Grains Plus baking flour blend is blended from ancient grains and chickpeas to provide more quality protein than traditional flour.

Additionally, the flour is crafted with a mild flavor, is plant-based and gluten-free, and can be easily incorporated into a variety of bakery applications.

The thrilled innovations come barely a month after the milling giant introduced BakeHaven, a new private-label flour brand targeting emerging retailers.

During the launch, Ardent revealed that the move bridges the gap left in the past where high packaging minimums for flour to be sold at retail often made it unaffordable for smaller retailers and kept Ardent Mills from servicing them

According to the company, the new products, Ardent Mills Egg Replace and Ancient Grains Plus Baking Flour Blend will be showcased at IFT FIRST 2023 from July 16-19 in Chicago.

The company is therefore calling upon attendees to visit the Ardent Mills booth #S0811 to try samples of baked goods formulated with Ardent Mills Egg Replace and Ancient Grains Plus Baking Flour Blend.
