BANGLADESH – ACI Pure Flour Limited, one of the largest flour-producing companies in Bangladesh, has introduced ‘ACI Pure Power Flour (Fortified Atta)’, a groundbreaking flour product designed to enhance health and well-being in Bangladesh.
The fortified Atta, enriched with 10 essential vitamins and minerals, was officially unveiled on 16 February 2025 at the Shwapno outlet in Gulshan-1, Dhaka, with its development made possible through technical support from Millers for Nutrition, TechnoServe, and Ruposhi Flour Mills.
The new product, fortified with folic acid, zinc, calcium, iron, vitamin A, and vitamins B1, B2, B3, B6, and B12, aims to tackle the critical lack of vital nutrients in the daily diets of Bangladeshi people.
Deficiencies in zinc, iodine, vitamin A, and folic acid have long been a major challenge, impacting physical and mental growth, immunity, and overall health. ACI Pure Power Flour promises to address these gaps and boost immunity, improve cognitive development, enhance eyesight, support heart health, and increase red blood cell production.
Speaking at the launch event, Faria Yasmin, Chief Business Officer of ACI Foods and Commodity Brands, emphasized the company’s commitment to quality and innovation.
“ACI Foods & Commodity Brands has always focused on delivering products that meet the highest standards of nutrition and health. With ACI Pure Fortified Atta, we hope to ensure that every family in Bangladesh can access the essential nutrients they need for a healthier lifestyle,” she said.
Mr. Sohel Tanvir Khan, Business Director of ACI Logistics, highlighted Shwapno’s dedication to providing healthy products to consumers. “Shwapno is proud to partner with ACI in bringing this innovative product to the market. ACI Pure Fortified Atta aligns perfectly with our mission to promote health and wellness,” he stated.
The initiative has been met with enthusiasm from industry leaders. Mr. Abu Naser, Director (Operations) of ACI Logistics, assured widespread availability of the product.
“We are committed to ensuring that ACI Pure Fortified Atta reaches every corner of the country. Our goal is to make this nutritious product accessible to all consumers, right at their doorstep,” he added.
This launch builds on ACI Foods and Commodity Brands’ legacy of innovation in addressing nutritional needs. The company was the first to introduce commercialized fortified rice in Bangladesh, which received an overwhelmingly positive response.
With the addition of ACI Pure Fortified Atta to its portfolio, ACI continues to lead the way in improving product quality and meeting the nutritional demands of the population.
Key stakeholders attended the launch event, including Faria Yasmin, Chief Business Officer of ACI Foods and Commodity Brands; Sabbir Hasan Nasir, Managing Director of Shwapno; Mr. Abu Naser, Director (Operations) of ACI Logistics; Guljer Ahmmed, Country Program Manager of Millers for Nutrition; Nayem Zobayer, Senior Food Fortification Specialist of TechnoServe; and senior officials from ACI Foods and Commodity Brands and Shwapno.
