Pasta Rummo unveils three new pasta shapes for US market

The launch is timed for National Pasta Month in October 2026 and targets the US market.

USA – Pasta Rummo has introduced three new products to the United States market: Potato Gnocchi, Fusilli Corti Bucati, and Stelline, expanding the company’s retail range as it seeks to bring more Italian-style pantry products to American consumers.

Announced on October 1, 2026, the launches coincide with National Pasta Month and expand the company’s Italian pasta portfolio for consumers seeking convenient, high-quality meal options.

Founded in 1846 in Benevento, Italy, Pasta Rummo is a sixth-generation family business known for its traditional pasta-making expertise.

The company’s latest additions blend familiar Italian culinary traditions with formats suited to different meals, from quick weekday dishes to soups and family dining.

The new Potato Gnocchi is made with Italian semolina and fresh Italian potatoes, without preservatives.

According to the company, the product delivers a light, soft texture and traditional potato flavour and cooks in about two minutes.

Its ridged surface is designed to hold sauces, including tomato, pesto, and butter-based preparations, offering consumers a convenient alternative to making gnocchi from scratch.

Fusilli Corti Bucati is a short, hollow, spiral-shaped pasta designed to hold sauces in its twists and central cavity.

The product is bronze-cut, a process that creates a textured surface to help sauces adhere to the pasta. It is intended for dishes where sauce retention and texture contribute to the overall eating experience.

The third addition, Stelline, consists of small, star-shaped pasta pieces suited to soups, broths and other comforting family meals.

The shape has previously featured in a limited-edition Pastina Classica meal kit developed in collaboration with actor Stanley Tucci and S.Pellegrino in 2023.

Its wider release now makes the product available as part of Rummo’s regular US offering.

Retailers across the United States, including Whole Foods Market, are distributing the products.

The recommended retail price is US$4.49 for Potato Gnocchi, while Fusilli Corti Bucati and Stelline are priced at US$3.99 each.

The launch builds on Rummo’s continued expansion in the US market, following the introduction of its Rummo Maxima protein-focused pasta range in 2025.

The company said its approach combines innovation with traditional Italian pasta-making standards.

Rummo uses its proprietary Lenta Lavorazione method, which emphasizes a slow and controlled production process intended to deliver a firm, al dente texture.

The company exports its products to more than 70 countries, serving consumers seeking traditional and specialty pasta options.

The three new products strengthen Rummo’s presence in the US retail market, broadening its offering across quick-cooking meals, sauce-oriented pasta dishes and traditional Italian soups.
