The agreement will enable Brinker to concentrate on producing and selling fresh bakery items, while Aryzta contributes its expertise in bakery manufacturing and product development.

SWITZERLAND – Aryzta Food Solutions GmbH has entered a strategic partnership with German artisan bakery Brinker Bakery, designed to combine Brinker’s baking expertise with Aryzta’s capabilities in frozen bakery products, sales, distribution and logistics.
The partnership was announced in September 2026 as Brinker reorganizes its business around fresh bakery production and its retail network.
Under the arrangement, Aryzta will take over Brinker’s frozen bakery products business and associated business-to-business customer activities.
Aryzta will also permanently offer selected Brinker products and become responsible for the logistical supply of Brinker’s approximately 70 company-owned retail outlets.
The move gives Aryzta a larger role in serving Brinker’s existing business customers while extending its distribution and logistics activities in Germany.
Brinker, based in Herne, will focus more closely on producing and selling fresh, artisan bakery products through its own stores and regional fresh-delivery operations.
According to the company, the restructuring is intended to allow it to concentrate on its core activities while benefiting from an established supply chain for products and logistics.
The partnership also creates a division of activities between the two companies.
Aryzta will contribute its established infrastructure in sales, distribution and logistics, while Brinker retains its focus on fresh baking, retail and regional delivery.
Selected Brinker products will remain available through Aryzta under the agreement, with Aryzta serving as the exclusive distribution partner for those products.
For Aryzta, the agreement adds to its presence in the European bakery market. The Switzerland-headquartered company describes itself as an international bakery business focused on convenience bakery and bake-off products, with operations across Europe, Asia, Australia and New Zealand. Its portfolio includes bread and rolls, morning bakery products and savoury bakery products supplied to retail, foodservice and quick-service restaurant channels.
The Brinker partnership comes as Aryzta continues to adjust its European operations while investing in bakery capacity elsewhere.
In August 2026, the company officially opened a new bakery in Perth, Australia, following a €40 million (US$46.4M) investment to support its Australian quick-service restaurant business.
The companies have not disclosed financial details of the Brinker agreement.
The partnership nevertheless represents a shift toward greater specialization, with Brinker concentrating on fresh artisan bakery and retail while Aryzta takes responsibility for frozen products, selected B2B activities and logistics.
