Bunge appoints Allison Rivera as Director of Government Affairs
The appointment comes as Bunge expands its US business, raises its 2026 earnings outlook and increases shareholder dividends.
USA – Bunge Global has appointed Allison Rivera as its new Director of Government Affairs, strengthening its engagement with US policymakers as the company continues to grow its operations and improve its financial outlook.
Rivera will lead Bunge’s work on federal policy matters that support the company’s business priorities. She will work with the US administration and Congress on issues including biofuels, tax credits, trade barriers and policies linked to Bunge’s growing presence in the seed sector.
Before joining Bunge, Rivera served as Vice President of Government and Legislative Affairs at the National Grain and Feed Association. She also worked as Executive Director of Government Affairs for the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association, where she represented the industry before lawmakers.
Earlier in her career, she spent nine years working for several members of the US House of Representatives from North Carolina and northern California.
Rivera holds degrees in political science and international studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She also graduated from the US Air Force Air Command and Staff College.
The appointment comes during a period of strong business performance for Bunge.
Last month, shareholders approved a cash dividend of US$2.88 per share for 2026, to be paid in four quarterly payments of US$0.72 per share. The annual dividend is US$0.02 higher than the previous year.
The company also raised its full year adjusted earnings forecast for 2026 to between US$9.00 and US$9.50 per share, up from its earlier estimate of US$7.50 to US$8.00 per share.
Bunge said better performance in soybean and softseed processing, together with stronger refining activities, supported the improved earnings outlook.
The latest leadership appointment also follows the opening of Bunge’s new soy protein concentrate plant in Morristown, Indiana.
The company said the facility is the largest soy protein concentrate plant of its kind in the United States and will support growing demand for high protein ingredients across feed and food markets.
