This NSF-certified professional-grade innovation combines precision robotics with advanced digital vision technology, including FreddieVision™ topographic sensors and FreddieView™ software, to scan each item’s contours for consistent, uniform icing results without manual intervention.
Freddie scans each cookie or confection to capture its exact contours, allowing it to accurately outline and flood cookies and confections of nearly any shape or size. This ensures uniform icing results without the need for hand piping and flooding.
Freddie addresses one of the most labor-intensive steps in decorated cookie production, enabling bakeries, cottage producers, and commercial operations to boost throughput while reducing labour costs and ensuring flawless finishes on cookies of nearly any shape or size, from 1 inch to 5 inches.
Users load their own royal icing into provided tubes, place cookies on the included carousel (holding up to 12 items) or trays (up to 6 larger pieces), calibrate via intuitive software, and let the machine operate unattended at approximately 60 seconds per cookie, or 12 minutes per dozen.
Each tube can frost up to 35 standard 3.25-inch cookies, making it ideal for high-volume customization.
The system pairs seamlessly with Primera’s Eddie, The Edible Ink Printer, creating a complete automated workflow: Freddie applies the base icing layer, followed by Eddie’s direct-to-food printing of full-colour images, logos, text, or designs on iced surfaces.
