YumYum launches SNACKiT

The rollout marks the company’s entry into the fast-growing functional snacking category.

INDIA – YumYum, an Indian snacking company under SKB Food Products Pvt Ltd, has launched SNACKiT, a high-protein snack brand targeting health-conscious consumers seeking convenient nutrition.

Positioned as an everyday energy booster rather than a gym-exclusive product, SNACKiT delivers about 18.8 grams of protein per pack through a plant-based blend of millets, pulses, and seeds.

SNACKiT stands out with its clean-label approach, excluding palm oil to meet demands for healthier ingredients.

High in dietary fibre, it promotes sustained fullness and addresses protein-deficiency concerns prevalent in urban diets.

Flavors like Indian Tadka, Millet Hot & Sweet Chilli, and Millet Hing Jeera fuse bold Indian tastes with nutrition, appealing to diverse palates.

The launch taps into India’s booming better-for-you snacks segment, where consumers shift from indulgent namkeens to functional foods.

Naman S Gupta, Director at SKB Food Products, emphasised SNACKiT’s role in making protein more accessible to working professionals, families, and travellers.

According to the company, SNACKiT is crafted to satisfy both nutrition goals and taste expectations, a combination that has become essential in India’s dynamic snacking market.

With rising awareness of balanced diets and concerns about protein deficiency, products that offer enhanced macronutrient profiles without compromising flavour are gaining traction among urban and health-conscious shoppers.

Distribution spans modern retail, supermarkets, and e-commerce for a broad reach.

High-protein snacks are transforming the market, driven by fitness trends and busy lifestyles, with double-digit growth projected.

YumYum’s innovation reinforces its focus on the balance of taste, quality, and health amid rising health awareness.

Market analysts note that high-protein snacks are rapidly transforming India’s snacking landscape, driven by fitness enthusiasts, working professionals and busy families seeking healthier alternatives to traditional fried namkeens and chips.

The introduction of SNACKiT adds depth to this emerging category and reflects YumYum’s strategy to stay relevant in a competitive segment by innovating around consumer health trends.

With this launch, YumYum aims to capture a meaningful share of the growing nutritious snacking segment and reinforce its position as a brand that balances taste, quality and health in everyday snacking.
