Tasomix to acquire Polish ruminant feed producer Farmpasz Podlasie

Tasomix, part of the ForFarmers Group since 2018, has worked with Farmpasz for many years.

POLAND – Tasomix, an affiliate of Dutch animal feed group ForFarmers, has signed a preliminary agreement to acquire 100% of the shares in Farmpasz Podlasie, a ruminant feed manufacturer based in Makówka in northeastern Poland.

The transaction is expected to be completed in February, subject to customary closing conditions.

ForFarmers said the planned acquisition represents the next step in Tasomix’s strategy of dynamic growth and strengthening its market position, especially in ruminants.

The move underlines the group’s continued focus on consolidating its presence in core European livestock markets through targeted bolt-on acquisitions.

ForFarmers is one of Europe’s leading manufacturers and suppliers of animal feed, operating across several countries including the Netherlands, Germany, Poland, and the UK.

The group has increasingly emphasized ruminants, sustainability-driven feed concepts, and closer cooperation with livestock farmers to improve margins in a volatile raw material and milk price environment.

In Poland, ForFarmers has been strengthening its footprint through Tasomix, which focuses on compound feeds and nutritional solutions adapted to local farming conditions.

Tasomix has been part of the ForFarmers Group since 2018 and has worked closely with Farmpasz for many years.

According to ForFarmers, this long-standing cooperation ensures deep knowledge of the plant’s technology and production potential, enabling efficient integration and future development.

The existing operational familiarity is expected to reduce integration risk and allow Tasomix to quickly optimize production and logistics following completion of the deal.

Founded in 2001, Farmpasz specializes in ruminant feed production, supplying compound feeds tailored for dairy and beef cattle.

The facility has an annual production capacity of 80,000 tonnes and is equipped with a modern packaging line and a high-bay warehouse, providing an efficient base for bagged feed products. The site also offers room for expansion, including the possibility of installing an additional production line.

“This acquisition will help us respond even more effectively to customer needs and strengthen our market position. The plant’s location and potential to efficiently expand with an additional production line fit perfectly with our strategic growth plans,” said Paweł Świerkula, managing director of Tasomix.

Poland is one of the largest livestock and feed markets in Central and Eastern Europe, with a well-developed dairy sector and a growing focus on productivity and feed efficiency.

Demand for specialized ruminant feeds has been supported by farm consolidation, tighter nutritional management, and increasing regulatory and sustainability requirements.

These trends have encouraged larger feed producers to invest in modern facilities and expand regional coverage to improve service levels and cost efficiency.
