The National Irrigation Authority will convert the Ahero pumping station into a hybrid system powered by a 500-kilowatt solar plant.
The complex also features soybean preparation and crushing lines, oil and meal extraction units, a lecithin degumming and packaging section, and a refinery.
Spread over 15 acres, with an annual production capacity of 400,000 metric tons, the new facility will be Cargill’s largest dairy feed plant in South Asia.
The deal includes 17 feed mills and several livestock operations across Vietnam, Indonesia, Cambodia, Korea and the Philippines.
The newly commissioned plant is designed to have a daily crushing capacity of 12 tons of soybeans, capable of producing up to 10 tons of high-quality refined oil for the domestic market.
