SIMEZA and CESCO EPC partner to deliver wheat processing facility in Cameroon

CAMEROON – SIMEZA SILOS, a renowned leader in grain storage solutions, has partnered with CESCO EPC to deliver a state-of-the-art turnkey grain storage and processing plant for Société Camerounaise de Transformation de Blé (SCTB) Cameroon.

This project, currently under construction, is set to enhance the region’s grain handling and processing capabilities, supporting agricultural development and food security.

“We are excited to highlight a SIMEZA silos project currently under erection in collaboration with CESCO EPC for SCTB Cameroon,” SIMEZA said.

According to SIMEZA, the facility, which spans a storage capacity of 20,000 tons, will handle critical grain products, including durum wheat, soft wheat, wheat flour, gluten, and semolina.

Equipped with modern steel silos, the plant is designed for efficiency, boasting a high conveying capacity of 250 tons per hour and a bagging capacity of 100 tons per hour, ensuring the swift movement and packaging of grain products.

Commissioned between 2022 and 2023, this turnkey project underscores SIMEZA’s dedication to providing tailored solutions that address clients’ specific needs.

In July 2024, CESCO announced the completion of a shipment of 109 containers to Cameroon.

“We are thrilled to share that we’ve completed the shipment of 109 containers to Cameroon as part of our ongoing project with the Société Camerounaise de Transformation de Blé (SCTB),” the company said on its LinkedIn page.

Based in Konstanz, Germany, CESCO is a company with extensive experience and expertise in the grain industry, offering turnkey plant solutions to its clients.

The company offers a complete portfolio of handling, storing and processing systems. Products include chain conveyors; belt conveyors; bucket elevators; cylindrical, prismatic, flat and hopper-bottom silos; buffer bins; processing equipment; and steel structures.

CESCO highlighted that the project has received financial backing from the German AKA-Bank and German Euler Hermes Export Credit Insurance. This support, they noted, underscores the confidence these institutions have in the project’s vision and its potential to enhance the agricultural industry in Cameroon.

By collaborating with CESCO EPC, SIMEZA brings its expertise in silo design and construction to Cameroon, showcasing its commitment to delivering high-quality, reliable infrastructure in emerging markets.

Upon completion, the facility will serve as a benchmark for grain storage excellence in the region, reinforcing SIMEZA’s reputation as a global leader in the sector.
