PepsiCo India launches Red Rock Deli gourmet chips

The launch is part of PepsiCo India‘s strategy to expand its portfolio with differentiated, super-premium snack options that meet growing demand for artisanal and globally inspired flavors in the Indian market.

INDIA – PepsiCo India has launched Red Rock Deli, a global gourmet chips brand originally from Australia, now made and manufactured in India with exotic flavors tailored for Indian palates.

This premium snacking offering uses advanced technologies, including kettle-cooked, baked, and popped methods, to deliver rich textures and bold flavors designed to cater to the urban consumer’s evolving taste for elevated, chef-inspired snacks.

The launch is part of PepsiCo India’s strategy to expand its portfolio with differentiated, super-premium snack options that meet growing demand for artisanal and globally inspired flavors in the Indian market.

Red Rock Deli chips are crafted from thick-cut potatoes, prepared with a slow-cooked kettle-style process that emphasizes a distinct crunch and depth of flavor.

The initial product variants launched in India showcase a fusion of smoky, spicy, and savory notes inspired by gourmet culinary trends worldwide.

These flavors are positioned to appeal primarily to millennials and Gen Z consumers, who increasingly seek premium, indulgent snacks with unique textures and sophisticated taste profiles.

PepsiCo highlights that the introduction of Red Rock Deli comes at a time when India’s snacking landscape is undergoing a significant transformation marked by premiumization.

The company emphasizes urban consumers’ shift toward richer ingredients and intentional, quality snacking moments that combine pleasure and culinary experimentation.

Saakshi Verma Menon, Chief Marketing Officer for Foods at PepsiCo India, stated that Red Rock Deli is designed to cater to this consumer shift by offering snacks that feel both elevated and accessible.

The brand will be available across leading quick commerce platforms, modern trade chains, premium grocery outlets, select neighborhood stores, and e-commerce, indicating a broad retail strategy to maximize consumer reach.

Packaging reflects the premium positioning with bold colors and contemporary designs aimed at trend-conscious buyers.

PepsiCo India views Red Rock Deli as a key innovation in its snacks portfolio, targeting the still under-penetrated but rapidly growing gourmet chips segment in the country.

This launch complements PepsiCo’s existing flagship chip brands, such as Lay’s, Doritos, and Kurkure, underlining the company’s commitment to creating differentiated snacking experiences for India’s growing urban market, blending global inspiration with local taste preferences and food-technology innovation.
