USA – Olyra Foods, the U.S.-based producer of organic breakfast biscuits rooted in ancient Greek milling traditions, has unveiled a bold brand transformation that signals a new chapter in its growth journey.
The rebrand, a result of a strategic collaboration with Interact Brands, a renowned branding agency, reflects the company’s deep heritage while positioning it for broader market appeal and expansion.
Initiated in November 2024, the brand update was designed to communicate better Olyra’s five generations of stone milling expertise and its commitment to wholesome, organic ingredients.
The new visual identity features vibrant packaging, refreshed logo marks, and updated product photography and illustrations.
These elements aim to bridge the gap between traditional Greek heritage and modern consumer expectations, creating a striking shelf presence that resonates with health-conscious shoppers.
Founder and CEO Yannis Varellas emphasised that while the look has evolved, the heart of the brand remains unchanged. “We’re still crafting breakfast snacks with ancient grains like spelt, barley, lupine, and oats, just with a fresh face that reflects our story and ambitions,” he said.
The updated packaging began rolling out to retailers in August 2025, appearing in over 5,000 locations nationwide, including Whole Foods, Sprouts, Harris Teeter, and The Fresh Market.
This expansion follows a strategic minority investment from Bimbo Ventures, the venture capital arm of Grupo Bimbo, in 2023.
The partnership has helped Olyra solidify its market position and accelerate its growth in the competitive US$4 billion breakfast and snack bar category.
Olyra’s rebranding is more than cosmetic; it’s a strategic move to elevate the brand’s visibility and connect with a wider audience seeking nutritious, flavorful breakfast options.
The new packaging hierarchy highlights key nutritional benefits, such as high fiber, low sugar, and 100% organic ingredients, while celebrating the brand’s Greek roots.
As Olyra Foods steps into this new era, it remains committed to its founding principles: sustainability, authenticity, and innovation.
The brand update not only honors its past but also sets the stage for a dynamic future in the health-forward food space.
