Olam Agri posts record 2025 results as SALIC ownership marks new chapter
The company reported record sales volumes and stronger revenues in its first annual report as an independent business while continuing to expand its global footprint.
MEA – Olam Agri has reported its strongest annual performance to date, with record sales volumes, higher revenues and gains in market share across several product categories during 2025, as the company begins operating under a new ownership structure following Saudi Agricultural and Livestock Investment Company (SALIC)’s majority acquisition.
The results appear in Olam Agri’s first Annual Report since becoming a separate business from the Olam Group. SALIC completed its acquisition of a majority stake in the company in April 2026, marking a new phase for the global agribusiness.
According to the report, Olam Agri expanded its operations in key markets during 2025 to meet rising demand for food, feed and fibre. The company said it will continue investing in areas that strengthen its business, improve its market position and support long term growth.
Commenting on the report, Sunny Verghese, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer, said the company maintained its growth while entering a new phase of its development.
“We sustained our performance and growth in 2025, while beginning a transformative new chapter that will enhance our capabilities as a differentiated global agri-business and fully integrated food security leader. With SALIC as a strategically aligned, committed long-term owner of our business, we will be able to build on our strong track record of performance to profitably scale our business even further, focused on providing living essentials and daily necessities to meet rising demand for food, feed, fibre.”
Alongside its financial results, Olam Agri highlighted progress under its Sustainable Futures Plan, which focuses on climate, nature and livelihoods. The company said the plan aims to support more sustainable and food secure agricultural systems while improving transparency through detailed sustainability and climate related reporting.
The report also highlighted the company’s workplace achievements. Olam Agri received certification from the Top Employers Institute in 10 countries and earned its sixth consecutive certification in Africa, reflecting its people practices across its operations.
The strong financial performance follows recent recognition for the company in Ghana. Earlier this month, Olam Agri won Flour Manufacturing Company of the Year and Agro-Processing Company of the Year at the 2026 Ghana Manufacturing Awards. The honours recognised the work of its Tema Wheat Mill and Pasta Factory, including the launch of First Choice Premium Spaghetti, described as Ghana’s first locally manufactured spaghetti brand.
At the awards ceremony, Olam Agri Ghana Country Head Baibhav Biswas credited the company’s employees for the achievement.
“These awards belong to every team member who contributes to our operations every day. From production and engineering to quality, safety, warehousing and logistics, this recognition reflects the dedication, expertise and teamwork that drive our success.”
Biswas also recently received the Agribusiness CEO of the Year award at the 2026 Ghana CEO Excellence Awards, adding to Olam Agri’s recent recognition in the country.
