Nestlé Ghana unveils nutrient-rich ‘Golden Morn’ breakfast cereal for whole family

GHANA – Nestlé Ghana Limited has launched its latest breakfast offering, Golden Morn, a nutrient-packed cereal designed to cater to the dietary needs of families.

The cereal, made from locally sourced maize and soya, promises balanced nutrition while delivering a wholesome, homemade feel.

This product, rich in essential vitamins and minerals, positions itself as a nutritious and accessible choice for the growing Ghanaian population.

The week-long launch event, held from September 16th to 20th across all four Nestlé sites in Accra, was marked by interactive engagement and sampling activities.

The event allowed Nestlé employees and stakeholders to experience Golden Morn firsthand, fostering an understanding of its health benefits. The company also emphasized its continued focus on enhancing nutrition and wellness in the Ghanaian market.

In a press release, Nestlé Ghana highlighted the product’s nutritional composition, particularly its iron content, which addresses iron deficiency, a common issue in many African diets. In addition to iron, Golden Morn contains vital nutrients like vitamins B1, B5, C, A, calcium, and protein, making it suitable for both children and adults.

Speaking at the launch, Georgios Badaro, Managing Director of Nestlé Ghana Ltd., said that Golden Morn is not just a breakfast cereal; it is a nutritious and delicious way to start your day.

We believe it will become a household favorite, appealing to both kids and adults.”

He emphasized that Nestlé’s mission remains to improve the well-being of Ghanaians through its innovative product portfolio.

On his part, Gilbert Tweneboah Koduah, Dairy Category Manager, added that Golden Morn’s unique composition, fortified with iron and packed with essential nutrients, sets it apart from other breakfast options.

We believe this product will play a key role in addressing the nutritional needs of the Ghanaian population, especially for children.”

This launch represents another milestone for Nestlé Ghana as it continues to expand its product offerings and contribute to the global push for better nutrition.

According to a 2023 report by Research and Markets, the cereal and breakfast food market in West Africa is projected to grow significantly in the coming years, driven by rising health awareness and demand for convenient, healthy food options

Nestlé’s Golden Morn launch is timely, as more Ghanaians seek affordable yet nutrient-dense meals that support their well-being.

Nestlé, which has operated in Ghana for over six decades, has continually focused on fortifying its products with key nutrients to combat malnutrition and micronutrient deficiencies across West Africa.
