A recent shipment consisted of three independently driven, straight-configured conveyors that move, collect, and re-enter filled and sealed plastic snack food containers in bulk.
USA – Multi-Conveyor has recently constructed conveyor systems for larger size containers that need mass or overflow accumulation.
The customer’s filler feeds the huge snack food containers onto a plastic chain conveyor that is 10-1/2″ wide and 25′ long.
Pneumatic actuators are used to sweep the containers in rows onto and off of the corresponding accumulation table conveyors.
High-level photo sensors use the manufacturing flow ahead to initiate accumulation. When sensors redeploy, the product is put back on the production line.
This similar “sweep arm” idea was employed in a prior conveyor system made of stainless steel by Multi-Conveyor engineers for a different huge container for non-rounds.
Two unique accumulation tables are fed plastic bottles, forming product rows at the table’s face. Once more, when the system is in “Accumulation Mode,” a pneumatic “sweep arm” will push one row at a time onto the table.
For round-shaped products, standard bi-di accumulation table conveyors are nearly always utilized.
According to the firm, both systems make use of the control experience of Multi-Conveyor’s engineering department, which includes motor and logic control arrangements, devices, sensors, HMI screens, and UL rated panels.
This comes after Multi-Conveyor recently developed a mild steel, bolted construction Z-shaped incline belt conveyor to transport snack crackers.
Once the pre-baked goods enter the conveyor, they are funneled by stainless steel guides as they ascend the vertical incline.
The food is elevated using hygienic, food-grade Volta SuperDrive belting, which has an effective width of 12.5 inches and is made of blue polyurethane. This process raises the snacks to a height of 82 inches (nearly 7 feet) at a rate of 10 pounds per minute.
Multi-Conveyor is a manufacturer of custom and standard plastic chain and belt conveyor equipment based in the U.S. The company is known for crafting specialty conveyors tailored to specific functions.
Conveyors automate the movement of food, reducing manual handling, lowering labor requirements, and improving operational efficiency. They can be seamlessly integrated with other processing and packaging equipment to optimize production lines.
