In order to develop novel recipes, improve current products, and eventually provide snacks that satisfy shifting consumer preferences, the Biscuit and Baked Snacks R&D Lab is being modernized.
EGYPT – Mondelēz Egypt has announced the launch of its Biscuit and Baked Snacks R&D Laboratory located in its Biscuits plant in the tenth of Ramadan (BTOR) in Egypt.
This cutting-edge facility strengthens the plant’s standing as a major export hub for the area and represents an important milestone in the company’s continuous efforts to create an environment that is full of creativity and innovation.
It is intended to serve as a center for experimentation and cooperation, fostering an innovative culture by uniting creative thinkers and audacious concepts to push the limits of the snacking sector.

This milestone reinforces our commitment to research excellence and innovation, ensuring that we remain at the forefront of the snacking industry in Egypt,” said Mohamed El Morsi- Managing director of Mondelēz Egypt.
He added that the company’s investment in the new R&D laboratory demonstrates its confidence in the Egyptian market and its dedication to research and development, with the aim of cementing its position as a manufacturing and exports hub and leading the snacking industry in the region.
The new laboratory’s cutting-edge capabilities will greatly aid in the expansion of Biscuits & Baking Snakes in the MENAP region, according to Nadine Elshoubary, R&D BU Lead MENAP.
It will encourage innovation, enable the production of locally relevant goods, and serve as a true testament to the fact that the MENAP region has developed into a global center for talent and aptitude.

Mondelēz Egypt proudly operates three manufacturing facilities throughout the nation to make chocolates, biscuits, gum, and candies.
These facilities are emerging as a significant hub serving the Middle East as well as international markets including Australia, Canada, the UK, and the AMEA region thanks to their emphasis on R&D and innovation.
