Imas joins TURQUALITY® Support Program, strengthening Türkiye’s global brand image

TURKIYE – Imas, a leading company in the milling industry, has been accepted into the prestigious TURQUALITY® Support Program under the upper support category, a step toward bolstering Türkiye’s international brand presence.

This milestone follows a rigorous audit process conducted at Imas’s manufacturing plant on December 12-13, 2024, marking a new chapter in the company’s journey toward global recognition.

TURQUALITY®, Türkiye’s first and only government-supported branding initiative, is designed to empower companies with competitive advantages and branding potential to become global players.

Unlike traditional export support programs, TURQUALITY® focuses on enhancing brand value and institutionalization, covering every aspect from production and marketing to sales and after-sales services. By fostering the growth of Turkish brands, the program aims to elevate the perception of Turkish products worldwide.

Imas’s inclusion in the program underscores its commitment to innovation, quality, and sustainability in the milling industry. With TURQUALITY®’s support, the company plans to accelerate its growth trajectory, leveraging managerial expertise and institutional development to strengthen its position in international markets.

We are proud to be recognized as a rising value of Türkiye and to join the TURQUALITY® family. This support will enable us to expand our global footprint and contribute to Türkiye’s distinguished brand image on the international stage,” said a representative from Imas.

The milestone comes after the giant was recently recognized as Türkiye’s leading exporter in both grain and feed milling machinery categories in 2023, according to the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM).

Mustafa Özdemir, General Manager of Imas Machinery and a Member of the Board of Directors at Loras Holding, expressed his pride in the accomplishment:

Becoming the export leader of Türkiye in our sector is a testament to the dedication of our team and the trust of our global partners. This success motivates us to continue developing innovative solutions and strengthening our contributions to the global milling industry,” Mustafa said.

According to Mustafa,  Imas’s export leadership is supported by its strong emphasis on research and development.

Since 2015, the company has consistently ranked among Türkiye’s Top 250 R&D Leaders and holds a top-10 position in the Turkish machinery industry’s R&D expenditures. Innovations such as the Polymer Base Construction® for roller mills highlight Imas’s forward-thinking approach, combining efficiency with durability to enhance the milling process.

The company has also demonstrated expertise in managing large-scale projects. In late 2023, Imas completed one of Africa’s largest flour mills for BUA Foods in Nigeria, boasting a capacity of 2,400 tonnes per day.
