Entenmann’s snack cakes receives brand renewal

This rebranding effort follows the successful launch of the Entenmann’s Baker’s Delights line two years ago, highlighting the brand’s commitment to innovation and responding to consumer demands.

USA – Bimbo Bakeries USA, part of Grupo Bimbo SAB de CV, has rebranded its Entenmann’s Baker’s Delights snacks as Entenmann’s Mini Snack Cakes and introduced two new flavors to the line.

The brand relaunch features updated packaging and bolder graphics, including a prominent “E,” which gives it a more contemporary look while highlighting the Entenmann’s logo, according to the Horsham-based BBU.

The two new varieties include Mini Iced Chocolate Chip Snack Cakes (yellow cake with chocolate chips, topped with white icing and chocolate sprinkles) and Mini Iced Party Snack Cakes (yellow cake topped with white icing and rainbow sprinkles).

BBU reports that the new flavors are designed to appeal to younger consumers. Other varieties in the line include Mini Pound Snack Cakes, Mini Crumb Snack Cakes, and Mini Snack Pies.

Each box of Mini Snack Cakes contains six individually wrapped cakes, and is priced at a suggested retail price of US$5.29, offering an affordable and convenient option for consumers seeking satisfying and flavorful snacks.

“Snackers crave convenience and variety, and our Mini Snack Cakes rebrand delivers both. We’re celebrating by launching two new flavors with delicious icing, colorful sprinkles, and a fresh new look, bringing more excitement to snack time,” said Richard Link, senior director of marketing for Entenmann’s.

Entenmann’s, once an American-owned company, is now owned by the Mexican conglomerate Grupo Bimbo. It manufactures a wide range of baked goods, which are delivered throughout the United States to supermarkets and other retailers for public sale.

The brand is known for its display cases at the end of store aisles and offers a variety of products, including dessert cakes, cup cakes, loaf cakes, crumb cakes, donuts, cookies, pies, cereal bars, muffins, and Danish pastries.

In recent years, Entenmann’s has expanded its product line to include designer coffee flavors and scented candles in an effort to broaden its appeal.

Currently, more than 100 different items carry the Entenmann’s brand, which is owned by Bimbo Bakeries USA.

Entenmann’s launched its first non-edible product in September 2008 with the sale of scented candles, which were available in scents like coffee cake, all-butter loaf cake, and raspberry Danish.

Other seasonal scents, such as pumpkin pie and warm gingerbread, were introduced for the holidays, while chocolate chip cookie was made available in the spring of 2009.
