Chips Ahoy! partners with Stranger Things to introduce new Creepy Cookies

Chips Ahoy! is introducing vintage-style packaging that captures the distinctive 1980s vibe of Stranger Things.

USA – Chips Ahoy!, an American chocolate chip cookie brand, baked and marketed by Nabisco, has ventured into the mysterious with its limited-edition Stranger Things cookies, merging retro charm with a hauntingly playful twist.

Dropping nationwide on August 11, the new release marks the brand’s first-ever fruit-filled cookie, a bold move that mirrors the mysterious world of Netflix’s hit series.

The cookie features a chocolatey base, studded with fudge chips, and a red strawberry-flavoured filling that peeks through like the glowing rifts of the Upside Down.

This unique design pays homage to the show’s iconic alternate dimension and introduces a flavor combo reminiscent of chocolate-covered strawberries. It’s a spooky, sweet twist that’s both visually striking and indulgently delicious.

To heighten the throwback appeal, Chips Ahoy! is introducing vintage-style packaging that captures the distinctive 1980s vibe of Stranger Things.

The cookie sleeve includes glow-in-the-dark elements, making it a perfect companion for late-night binge-watching or Halloween snacking. Fans can also snag snack-size two-packs, ideal for lunchboxes or trick-or-treat bowls.

According to Chips Ahoy!, starting August 11, consumers can scan a QR code on the packaging to enter an augmented reality game set in the Upside Down.

Players will hunt for hidden Chips Ahoy! cookies across different levels to boost their “happy meter” and unlock exclusive prizes.

Among the rewards is a Stranger Things Eddie Munson-inspired guitar, along with limited-edition merchandise that celebrates the show’s final season.

Early access to the cookies was granted to the first 1,500 fans via a pre-sale that opened on July 21, building anticipation ahead of the official launch. The cookies will retail for approximately US$ 5.79, with availability at major grocery stores nationwide.

“This isn’t just any product launch, it’s a cultural moment that joins two beloved brands together in an exciting and captivating way,” said Sabrina Sierant, Senior Director Chips Ahoy!.

“Our collaboration with Stranger Things appeals to both long-time lovers of Chips Ahoy! cookies and Stranger Things fans who have loved every episode. Through experiential components and elements of nostalgia, we are delivering unforgettable experiences for different generations of fans, whether they grew up in the 80s or are experiencing that awesome decade through the show.”

As Stranger Things prepares to release its fifth and final season in three volumes starting this November, Chips Ahoy! ‘s themed cookies offer a delicious way to celebrate the series’ legacy.
