According to a new report by Platts, part of S&P Global Energy, the cost of milling wheat has surged amid renewed pressure on the Egyptian pound, which has dropped to over 52.39 EGP to the dollar.

This innovative product represents the powdered evolution of the company’s iconic Tiger Paste, specifically engineered to provide bakers and industrial food manufacturers with a more versatile, ready-to-use solution for creating the popular “tiger” or “crackle” crust on savory baked goods.

The State has allocated KSh 2 billion (US$15.45M) to the subsidy programme, and the directive instructs the Kenya Seed Company Limited to harmonize and distribute the subsidized seed.

The proposal includes the acquisition and development of approximately 14,000 hectares for plantations and associated agro industrial activities.

The landmark agreement aims to boost domestic rice production and reduce the country’s growing reliance on imports.
