Symaga accelerates professional development with expanded workforce training program

The initiative is part of the company’s broader strategy to strengthen technical skills, support internal career progression, and remain competitive in the global grain-storage market.

SPAIN – Symaga has announced a major expansion in its workforce development strategy, ramping up investments in staff education and technical skill-building.

The Spanish company said it has already delivered 22 specialized training courses to its employees, with plans to roll out an additional 33 courses, totaling over 500 training hours dedicated to upskilling its global workforce.

The initiative spans a diverse range of technical modules, operational safety standards, quality control protocols, and advanced manufacturing practices.

By boosting training hours, Symaga aims to enhance technical precision, ensure compliance with updated regulatory frameworks, and maintain high standards across its global storage projects.

A core pillar of Symaga’s human resources strategy focuses on internal promotion and long-term retention.

Many of the company’s supervisors, team leaders, and technical managers have advanced from within the ranks, supported by ongoing professional development programs.

The increased training footprint aligns with Symaga’s ongoing operational growth and modernization efforts.

The investment in people comes as the grain-storage industry faces increasing demand for high-capacity, traceable, and technologically advanced facilities.

Grain handlers and agricultural processors are under pressure to improve storage efficiency, preserve product quality, strengthen food-safety controls and reduce operational losses.

For manufacturers such as Symaga, this requires a workforce capable of working with automated production systems, digital manufacturing tools and increasingly specialized engineering requirements.

Symaga’s training commitment also aligns with its corporate-responsibility approach, which identifies personal and professional development as part of sustainable business performance.

Beyond employee courses, the company supports internships and factory visits for students, giving them exposure to industrial manufacturing and potential entry routes into technical careers.

“This reorganization will enable us to standardize key processes, such as identifying training needs, managing subsidized training and communicating the annual training plan,” the company said. “At Symaga, we continue to invest in our greatest asset: our people because enhancing our teams’ knowledge and skills enables us to keep moving forward and deliver the highest standards of quality, innovation and customer service.

“Training is not just about learning. It is a lever for continued growth and a driving force behind our excellence.”

Based in La Mancha, the manufacturer supplies industrial galvanized steel silos, livestock feed storage, and water tanks to customers across more than 140 countries.

As the agricultural supply chain increasingly demands automated and higher-capacity storage solutions, Symaga’s management views talent development as a crucial lever to maintain manufacturing excellence, foster product innovation, and preserve long-term operational resilience.
