Turkey’s Indomie factory hosts students to explore its production processes

The instant noodle brand seeks to enhance young people’s understanding of hygiene and safety in food manufacturing.

TURKEY – Indomie has welcomed students to its production facility in Turkey, emphasizing the significance of transparency and safety in food production.

In the last two years, the company has hosted over a thousand students from more than 50 middle schools, high schools, and universities at its factory in Çerkezköy, Tekirdağ.

By providing a firsthand look at its production processes, Indomie aims to foster a generation of informed consumers.

During visits to the Çerkezköy facility, Indomie representatives engaged students in the production process, offering a clear view of how food products are made in a hygienic, safe, and internationally compliant manner.

With over a thousand students having visited, Indomie educates these young guests—alongside industry experts—on essential topics such as food safety basics, hygiene practices, and sustainable production methods.

University students, in addition to middle and high schoolers, also have the chance to tour Indomie’s factories.

Through partnerships with universities, particularly those with food engineering programs, students can complement their theoretical knowledge with practical experience on the production floor.

Ranked among the top five of Indomie’s 50 factories globally, the Turkey facility also provides internship programs for high school and university students, offering various opportunities for career advancement.

These programs allow young individuals interested in the food industry to learn about production processes, observe quality control practices, and gain experience in a professional setting.

Committed to transparent production, Indomie opens its doors not only to students but to all consumers.

“Food safety and transparency in production are among our highest priorities. In this regard, we view opening our factory to younger generations as both a responsibility and an investment in the future. Every moment students spend on the production floor helps them grow into informed consumers,” stated Indomie Deputy General Manager Sencer Gündü.

Indomie is an instant noodle brand produced by the Indonesian company Indofood, recognized as the largest instant noodle manufacturer in the world with 17 factories.

Annually, over 19 billion packs of Indomie are produced and exported to more than 100 countries.

Since its launch in June 1972, Indomie has primarily been produced in Indonesia, with production also taking place in Nigeria since 1995 and Turkey since 2010.
