The investment is designed to increase production capacity, support growing global demand for biosolutions and strengthen the resilience and flexibility of the company’s international supply network.
The deal builds on Novonesis’ original 2013 investment in MicroBioGen and its current 23% stake in the Sydney-based firm, extending a collaboration between the two companies that spans more than a decade.
According to Novonesis, Optiva® LS Prime works by converting starch into sugar during the baking process, allowing formulators and bakers to maintain the desired sweetness with significantly less added sugar
