Scoular appoints Roger Huffman as Director of Special Projects and Feed Nutrition

USAScoular, a prominent player in the agricultural industry, has announced the appointment of Roger Huffman as the company’s first Director of Special Projects and Feed Nutrition.

In this newly created role, Huffman will spearhead Scoular’s efforts to expand its feed business and evaluate growth opportunities within the sector.

Founded in 1982, Scoular is an employee-owned agribusiness company with annual revenues exceeding US$10 billion.

The company specializes in buying, selling, storing, handling, and processing grain and ingredients by leveraging its global networks and expertise in international trade and transportation.

As demand for renewable energy grows, companies like Scoular have an ideal environment to use their agility, infrastructure, and market knowledge to respond to these changing market conditions,” said Sandra Hulm, Senior Vice President of Renewables and Oilseeds at Scoular.

“We’re thrilled to bring Roger’s 30 years of experience to Scoular to build new capabilities and enhance our supply chain strength and the value-added services we can offer feed customers.”

Huffman has been a prominent figure in the animal health and feed industry since beginning his career in 1993.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in animal science from Murray State University in Kentucky and a master’s degree in feedlot nutrition from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln.

Huffman’s extensive experience in the cattle feeding industry is expected to contribute to Scoular’s long-term strategy significantly. He will join Scoular’s new Renewables & Oilseeds Division, underscoring the company’s commitment to the intersection of agriculture and energy and enhancing its portfolio of high-quality energy sources for livestock nutrition.

His appointment comes after Sandra Hulm was recently promoted to Senior Vice President, tasked with spearheading the company’s newly established Renewables & Oilseeds Division.

Previously, Hulm served as Vice President and General Manager at Scoular.

Scoular is known to provide safe and reliable solutions to farmers, grain processors, renewable energy producers, and manufacturers of animal feed, aquafeed, and pet food, as well as food, beverages, and supplements.
