Ritz Crackers launches limited time ‘sunkissed’ crackers

Starting later this month, consumers can find the new “Sunkissed” crackers at mass retailers nationwide for a limited time.

USA – In anticipation of the summer season, Mondelēz International’s Ritz brand is launching a new limited-edition cracker variety called “Sunkissed.”

This buttery-flavored cracker maintains the signature salty taste that consumers love, but adds a golden-baked twist. The brand describes it as a flaky, baked cracker with a toasty flavor.

“The Ritz brand is always looking for innovative ways to enhance snack time,” “With our Ritz Sunkissed crackers, we’ve captured the essence of summer in a snack-sized bite that’s perfect for any warm-weather occasion,” said Steven Saenen, Vice President of Marketing at Ritz.

Saenen emphasized that while Ritz is a beloved 90-year-old brand with a rich heritage, the company is committed to staying relevant for today’s consumers and modernizing the product line. Their aim is to evolve this classic cracker into a contemporary savoury snack.

To celebrate the launch, Ritz is hosting a sweepstakes with a chance to win summer-themed prizes, including beach towels, coolers, bags, and a grand prize of $50,000. The giveaway, which is hosted on the brand’s Golden Summer landing page, will run until the end of August.

The brand’s focus on maintaining the familiar qualities that customers love is central to its contemporary approach to flavour. This time, however, they are placing even more emphasis on the classic snack’s rich, crisp texture.

This isn’t the first time Ritz has tapped into its most beloved qualities. Last year, the brand released a limited-edition butter-flavored cracker with an enhanced flavor profile.

According to Ritz, these new crackers captured the traditional butter flavor known from classic Ritz crackers, with an extra touch of decadence in every bite, similar to adding a hint of luxury to everyday moments.

During the butter crackers’ launch, Ritz offered fans a chance to win a $100,000 piece of art. To enter, butter enthusiasts were encouraged to showcase their “Buttery-er” selves by creating a TikTok video using the Live Buttery-er effect developed by Ritz.

According to BusinessDasher, giveaways have a conversion rate of nearly 34%, which is higher than other content types. Additionally, over 34% of new customers are acquired through contests.

Furthermore, 45% of digital marketers agree that social media contests provide a good return on investment (ROI), underscoring the vital role of giveaways in driving sales.
