Pringles, Miller Lite collab to launch beer-flavoured crisps

The new Pringles x Miller Lite crisps combine classic cookout tastes, bringing the essence of backyard barbecues into a single can of snacking goodness.

USAKellanova’s Pringles brand has partnered with Miller Lite to create a collection of limited-edition crisps inspired by popular beer-infused barbecue flavors.

Each flavor offers a unique combination of grilled foods and the hoppy, malt aroma of Miller Lite beer. The new chip flavors include Pringles x Miller Lite Beer Can Chicken, which features the savory taste of roasted chicken, enhanced with notes of garlic and onion, paired with the authentic flavor of Original Light Beer.

The other flavor is Pringles x Miller Lite Grilled Beer Brat, which boasts a smoky grilled brat taste, complemented by hints of black pepper, caramelized onion, and brown spices, with the essence of Original Light Beer brought to life through its hoppy, malt aroma.

“At Pringles, we are committed to introducing new and unexpected flavors that delight our fans’ cravings for every occasion. That’s why we teamed up with the brewing experts at Miller Lite—two iconic brands coming together,” said Mauricio Jenkins, U.S. head of marketing for Pringles.

“We know that fans already love to incorporate Miller Lite’s iconic flavor into their grilled favorites. By transforming those tastes into a savory snack with Pringles, we’re offering the perfect treat for backyard barbecues this summer. We hope all our fans get the chance to try them,” said Ann Legan, VP of marketing at the Miller Family of Brands.

Consumers will find Pringles x Miller Lite Beer Can Chicken and Pringles x Miller Lite Grilled Beer Brat at retailers nationwide starting in May, available while supplies last.

Pringles is a brand of stackable potato-based chips originally created by Procter & Gamble (P&G) in 1968. These chips are classified as an extruded snack due to their unique manufacturing process. The brand was sold to Kellanova in 2012.

Interestingly, Pringles were developed by chemist Fredric J. Baur to solve consumer complaints about broken, greasy, and stale chips as well as excess air in the bags.

After two years of development, Baur created the saddle-shaped chips from fried dough and selected a tubular can as their packaging. The distinct shape of Pringles chips is mathematically known as a hyperbolic paraboloid.
