The updated packaging retains the same soft, egg-free recipe that has made the muffins a favourite among local households, while offering shoppers more units per pack.

KENYA – Kingsmil has expanded its eggless muffin range by introducing new six-pack packaging, giving consumers a larger pack option while retaining the brand’s existing muffin varieties.
The move forms part of the bakery’s continued product development as it broadens its offering across Kenya’s packaged bakery market.
Kingsmil, operated by Kenafric Bakery Limited, lists eggless muffins among its core products alongside breads, buns, scones and queen cakes.
The new packaging represents a shift from the previously available four-piece, 200g format to six-piece packs.
Product listings and barcode information indicate that the six-pack format is being introduced across the range, including Kingsmil Eggless Vanilla Muffins, with a listed 300g pack size.
The transition provides consumers with additional servings in a single retail pack while maintaining the eggless positioning of the products.
The muffin range includes several flavors designed to appeal to different consumer preferences. Kingsmil Choco-Chip Muffins feature chocolate chips incorporated into a soft muffin base, while the Vanilla variety offers a traditional flavour profile aimed at tea-time and everyday snacking occasions.
The range also includes Coconut Muffins, a coconut-flavored alternative, and Lemon & Poppy Muffins, which combine citrus flavor with poppy seeds.
Kingsmil’s wider product strategy reflects growing competition in Kenya’s packaged bakery segment, where manufacturers are increasingly differentiating products through flavour variety, pack formats and convenience.
The company describes its eggless muffins as part of its latest product offerings and says they are made with real ingredients.
Its product portfolio also includes bread in several formats and sizes, as well as buns and scones.
The six-pack launch also strengthens Kingsmil’s positioning in the retail and food-service channels.
The company says its products are distributed through local and independent retailers across the country and are available for hotels, restaurants and caterers.
Retail availability reflects Kingsmil muffins’ established presence in Kenya’s bakery market.
The muffins remain available through Kingsmil’s established retail footprint, including supermarket listings such as Carrefour Kenya, where the range has previously been listed under the four-pack (200g) format.
The brand has been promoting the new packaging directly through its social media channels, including Instagram and Facebook, as part of its broader consumer engagement strategy in the Kenyan bakery market.
These listings point to the evolution of pack sizes within the muffin category as brands respond to consumer demand for convenient packaged bakery products.
The introduction of the six-pack therefore adds another format to Kingsmil’s bakery portfolio while maintaining its focus on eggless muffin products.
For Kenyan consumers, the expanded pack offers a convenient option for households, sharing occasions and individual snacking throughout the day.
