The launch was marked by the unveiling of two flagship products, LEA Premium Maize Flour and LEA Premium All Purpose Wheat Flour
KENYA – A new player has officially entered Kenya’s flour milling sector with the commissioning of New Paleah Millers on 20th June 2025 in Thika, Kiambu County, Kenya.
The launch was marked by the unveiling of two flagship products, LEA Premium Maize Flour and LEA Premium All Purpose Wheat Flour, as the company positions itself to deliver high-quality, locally produced staples to the Kenyan market.
The commissioning ceremony was attended by a host of high-profile guests, including Dr. Narendra Raval, Chairman of Devki Group, who served as the Guest of Honour.
Also present were Murang’a County Governor H.E. Irungu Kang’ata, political leaders Andrew and Purity Ngirici, and a cross-section of the milling industry’s key stakeholders, among them financiers, partners, suppliers, distributors, and members of the local community.
The commissioning of this new mill is expected to boost local agriculture by creating demand for maize and wheat farmers, enhancing supply chains, and generating employment opportunities. It also signifies a step forward in Kenya’s food security efforts by increasing the availability of premium-grade staple foods.
Speaking during the event, Dr. Raval underscored the importance of industrial investments in strengthening Kenya’s food system.
“We must continue to support homegrown companies that are adding value locally, creating jobs, and reducing our dependence on imports,” he said.
Governor Kang’ata echoed these sentiments, noting that the commissioning of the plant would stimulate regional development and promote agribusiness linkages across counties. “This is a big win for our farmers, millers, and consumers,” he said.
New Paleah Millers’ new facility is fitted with modern milling equipment, rigorous quality standards, and nutritional fortification supports, designed for high efficiency and product consistency.
According to the company, the newly launched LEA Premium flour products are formulated to meet growing demand for nutritious, locally milled options.
Branded with the tagline “made to nurture the world,” both offering clean‑label compositions and fortified nutritional value, the flours will be available across Kenya from July 2025.
With a focus on quality, innovation, and local sourcing, New Paleah Millers enters the competitive flour market at a time when consumers and retailers alike are looking for affordable yet premium options.
