Imas completes construction of feed mill for Nurym Group

Imas provided comprehensive turnkey services encompassing plant design, process engineering, manufacturing, installation, commissioning, and user training.

TURKEY – Imas has successfully completed a 20-ton-per-hour (tph) feed mill for Nurym Group in Shymkent, Kazakhstan, which commenced operations in April.

This facility is one of the largest feed mills in the country, producing 480 tonnes of feed each day for a variety of animals, including cattle, poultry, and small ruminants.

Imas provided comprehensive turnkey services encompassing plant design, process engineering, manufacturing, installation, commissioning, and user training.

The construction of the steel building for the plant was entirely designed, manufactured, and erected by Imas as part of the project.

An Imas team delivered training not only on the machinery and plant performance but also on the use of the feed laboratory equipment available at the facility.

The process flow within the plant begins with the intake system connected to the steel storage silos. This is followed by grinding the raw materials, mixing the ingredients, conditioning, pelleting, adding molasses, cooling, and optionally crumbling.

Finally, the feed pellets and crumbs pass through a vibratory sieve and are packed into 25 kg sacks at the bagging stations for distribution.

A Viteral series high-capacity pellet press (VPP) has been installed, with processing capacities of up to 30 metric tons per hour (tph).

This machine can also be equipped with a touchscreen panel for easy and efficient management of critical parameters, such as time and temperature.

Additional equipment includes the Viteral series paddle mixer (VMX) and hammer mill (VHM), with the VHM capable of reaching up to 50 tph due to its specialized pre-crushing blades and fixed hammer system, which enhance performance.

The new feed mill operated by Nurym Group is managed through a central automation system that allows for integrated monitoring of the entire process, from intake to packaging.

This system provides real-time data on production quantities, yield, consumption, and other essential metrics.

The latest automation technology in the plant even enables Imas’s after-sales team to connect remotely for technical support at any time.

Established in 1989, Imas has become a leading corporation in Turkey for grain and feed milling technologies.

For 27 years, it has been manufacturing high-tech products and delivering efficient turnkey projects under the Milleral brand in the grain milling sector, with over 500 references across five continents and in more than 100 countries.
