Hovis reintroduces seasonal pack designs

The festive packaging aims to refresh the bread fixture with a holiday touch that catches shoppers’ interest, encouraging incremental sales for retailers in this competitive season.

UK – Hovis is bringing a festive spirit to the bread aisle this holiday season with the relaunch of its popular limited-edition “Ho Ho Hovis” seasonal packaging.

The special festive design will be featured across the core Hovis Soft White 800g range, including Medium, Thick, and Extra Thick variants.

These packs have been on shelves since November 4, 2025, timed to capture consumer attention during the crucial pre-Christmas trading period.

White bread remains the largest sector within the pre-packaged bread category in the UK, and Hovis Soft White is a trusted favorite among UK households.

The festive packaging aims to refresh the bread fixture with a holiday touch that catches shoppers’ interest, encouraging incremental sales for retailers in this competitive season.

To further support the launch and engage consumers, Hovis will be activating the “Ho Ho Hovis” campaign across social media throughout November and December.

The digital campaign offers consumers the chance to win exclusive Hovis seasonal merchandise, adding excitement and boosting brand engagement during the festive period.

Mark Brown, Chief Marketing Officer at Hovis, highlighted the significance of white bread in UK households, noting its highest household penetration levels among pre-packaged bread types.

He described the limited-edition packaging as a unique way to bring festive cheer to the bread aisle and generate additional sales momentum for retailers.

The campaign builds on the success of previous festive pack designs and Hovis’s 2024 partnership with Netflix, which further enhanced the brand’s relevance during key cultural moments.

The “Ho Ho Hovis” festive packaging is widely available across leading grocery retailers, independent stores, and wholesale channels in the UK, priced at £1.15 (US$1.51) per loaf.

This seasonal activation reflects Hovis’s strategy to maintain consumer excitement and drive sales through packaging innovation and engagement during key retail periods.

This seasonal packaging initiative aims to brighten the bread aisle and inspire shoppers through festive design and targeted engagement in the busy holiday shopping window.
