Domino’s rolls out first food truck in Egypt

EGYPT – Domino’s has officially launched its first-ever food truck in Egypt, a strategic move aimed at expanding the brand’s footprint and accessibility within the country.

The mobile unit is designed to bring Domino’s signature offerings, including freshly baked pizzas, breads, sides, and desserts, directly to customers in high-traffic urban areas, at events, and in underserved neighbourhoods.

This initiative reflects Domino’s commitment to innovation and accessibility in Egypt’s fast-growing foodservice market.

By introducing a mobile format, the company aims to reach consumers beyond traditional brick-and-mortar locations, tapping into the country’s vibrant street food culture and increasing brand visibility.

The food truck is fully equipped with a compact kitchen, refrigeration units, and digital ordering systems, allowing for on-site preparation and real-time service.

It will initially operate in Greater Cairo, with plans to expand to Alexandria and other major cities based on consumer demand and logistical feasibility.

Operated under the umbrella of Alamar Foods Company, the exclusive master franchisee for Domino’s in the Middle East, North Africa, and Pakistan (MENAP) region, this food truck rollout is part of a broader effort to innovate in customer experience and delivery models.

Alamar Foods stated that the move to mobile foodservice is well-aligned with the evolving consumer lifestyle, characterized by on-the-go eating preferences and the growing role of food trucks in contemporary urban culture.

The move aligns with broader trends in Egypt’s foodservice sector, where mobile dining formats are gaining traction among younger consumers and urban professionals.

According to local analysts, food trucks provide a cost-effective means for brands to test new markets, pilot menu innovations, and engage directly with local communities.

Domino’s Egypt has also hinted at future collaborations with local events, festivals, and university campuses to maximize the truck’s reach.

The company is exploring digital integrations, including mobile app ordering and location tracking, to enhance customer engagement and streamline service.

This launch comes amid Domino’s global push to diversify its service channels, including drive-thru, curbside pickup, and delivery-only kitchens.

In Egypt, the food truck adds a dynamic layer to the brand’s footprint, complementing its existing network of dine-in and delivery outlets.

As Egypt’s urban landscape continues to evolve, Domino’s mobile expansion signals a forward-thinking approach to foodservice, one that blends global standards with local flavor and mobility.
