TURKIYE- Turkiye’s milling sector takes a significant leap forward as the Association of Turkish Milling and Sector Machinery Manufacturers (DESMÜD) and IDMA Expo join forces in a groundbreaking cooperation agreement.
The signing ceremony, led by Zeki Demirtaşoğlu, President of DESMÜD, and Ali Kalkan, Chairman of IDMA International Fairs, has sparked excitement in the sector.
This strategic collaboration is poised to strengthen Turkey’s position in the milling sector both domestically and globally. The agreement opens avenues for Turkey to showcase its prowess in milling and sector machinery production to a broader audience, enhancing the nation’s brand value internationally.
The sharing of innovations and sector developments is expected to elevate Turkey’s standing in the global arena.
DESMÜD President Zeki Demirtaşoğlu expressed optimism about the impact of this partnership, stating, “We believe that we will accelerate the development of our sector with this partnership. Together, we will work for more innovation, more quality, and more growth.”
Ali Kalkan, Chairman of IDMA Expo, echoed the sentiment, emphasizing that the collaboration with DESMÜD will contribute to further strengthening the international presence of the milling industry.
He stated, “We will carry our sector further with the events and projects we will realize together. This collaboration will showcase Turkey’s strength and competitive advantage in the milling industry to a broader international audience. Simultaneously, it will stimulate technological advancements in the milling sector and ensure Turkey takes a leading position in innovation.”
Ali Kalkan, reminding that the next İDMA Fair will be held in Istanbul from May 2nd to 4th, highlighted the significance of this fair as a crucial platform for industry stakeholders to showcase new technologies, enhance collaborations, and explore new growth opportunities.
He commented, “Turkey is a world leader in flour exports and the second-largest in pasta exports. This situation already underscores the strength of Turkey’s milling industry on the international stage. Turkey sits at the crossroads for major grain-exporting countries like Russia and Ukraine, and important grain-importing countries such as Egypt, Iran, Syria, Algeria, and Morocco. This positions Turkey as a facilitator for international collaborations and business opportunities for industry actors.”
By disseminating innovations and technological advancements to a broader audience, the collaboration seeks to elevate international standards within the sector.
