SWEDEN – BoMill AB has solidified its relationship with the Swedish agricultural cooperative group Lantmännen by signing a follow-up agreement valued at EUR 475,000 (approximately US$510,770).
This agreement follows an initial project where Lantmännen Lantbruk evaluated the BoMill InSight during a rental period.
After experiencing the benefits of BoMill InSight, Lantmännen Lantbruk has opted to purchase the solution and expand its capacity with additional sorting units.
Lantmännen, headquartered in Sweden, is an agricultural cooperative owned by 18,000 farmers and is a leading player in agriculture, machinery, bioenergy, and food in Northern Europe.
In January 2024, Lantmännen Lantbruk signed a rental agreement for the BoMill InSight worth EUR 185,000 (approximately US$198931) with the option to purchase the solution at the end of the rental period.
The decision to purchase the BoMill InSight came after positive feedback on the equipment’s performance and successful use in upgrading wheat and barley during the 19-week rental period.
Lantmännen Lantbruk has now decided to exercise its purchase option and increase the capacity of the BoMill InSight with two additional sorting units, resulting in eight units installed on the BoMill InSight frame.
The follow-up agreement is valued at approximately EUR 475,000 (US$510,770), bringing the total value, including the rental cost, to EUR 660,000 (approximately US$645,183).
“This is great news. It is always exciting to see the performance of our technology recognized through a follow-up agreement. Lantmännen is a fantastic reference, and we look forward to further collaborating with them,” said Andreas Jeppsson, CEO of BoMill AB.
“BoMill InSight has proven to be a very reliable and cost-effective solution to increase the value and quality of grains produced by Swedish farmers. We are thrilled to invest in this solution that gives us more flexibility to fulfill our grain supply contracts. We look forward to exploring further its potential for our business,” commented Pontus Sonesson, Head of Supply Chain at Lantmännen Lantbruk.
BoMill InSight, integrated with a mobile container solution, has demonstrated its efficacy and reliability, providing Lantmännen with enhanced grain sorting capabilities.
This strategic investment is expected to support Lantmännen in meeting its grain supply contracts more efficiently and with higher quality standards.
