The new facilities will contribute an additional 600 TPD of modern milling capacity to Serbia’s grain processing sector, which is under increasing pressure to modernize and reduce reliance on imports
SERBIA – Turkey-based Alapros Grain Milling Technology has secured two high‑profile turnkey flour mill contracts in Serbia, each with a processing capacity of 300 tonnes per day (TPD), strengthening its presence in the Balkan grain processing market.
The first agreement was signed directly with MB Komerc, a Serbian milling company headquartered in Ruma. The project will involve the construction of a fully integrated 300 TPD flour milling facility. MB Komerc is one of Serbia’s most profitable flour producers and supplies a wide range of white and specialty wheat flours for both domestic and export markets.
In a parallel development, a second turnkey contract has been finalized with Sole Komerc under ALAPROS AGRIMILL, the joint venture brand established by Alapros and milling entrepreneur Mr. Okçul Barlık. This project, also for a 300 TPD flour mill, is expected to be commissioned by the end of 2025.
Alapros confirmed that both projects will follow its established six-stage turnkey implementation model, which includes needs assessment, facility design, process simulation, equipment installation, and post-commissioning technical support. The company utilizes advanced automation and control systems designed to maximize energy efficiency and operational consistency in large-scale milling operations.
The new facilities will contribute an additional 600 TPD of modern milling capacity to Serbia’s grain processing sector, which is under increasing pressure to modernize and reduce reliance on imports, particularly in wheat seed and specialty flour production.
These contracts mark a continued expansion of Alapros’s operations in Europe, following recent large-capacity mill projects in countries such as Poland, Uzbekistan, and Egypt.
For Motabar, one of Uzbekistan’s leading flour producers, Alapros was entrusted with a new investment, a 1,200 tonnes per day (TPD) mega flour mill project comprising two production lines of 600 TPD each.
With this expansion, Motabar’s total milling capacity will rise to 3,200 TPD, solidifying its position as a dominant force in Uzbekistan’s flour industry.
Alapros, headquartered in Konya, has delivered more than 500 projects across 60 countries to date, combining Turkish engineering with global standards in food-grade processing technologies.
