Agthia shines at Gulfood 2025 with the launch of speciality flour blend for health-conscious consumers

DUBAI – Agthia Group PJSC’s Agribusiness Division has launched Nine Grain Atta, a groundbreaking specialty flour blend tailored for the Indian subcontinent at the ongoing Gulfood 2025 in Dubai.

According to the company, this innovative product, which combines nine different grains, including wheat and chickpeas, offers a natural and organic option to meet the growing demand for healthier and more nutritious food choices.

As consumers increasingly focus on holistic wellness, Agthia’s Nine Grain Atta is positioned as a healthier alternative to traditional atta.

Speaking during the unveiling of the product, Nizar Kayali, President of Agthia’s Flour & Feed Division, emphasized the company’s commitment to aligning product innovations with the rising demand for nutritious food options.

“At Gulfood, our primary focus is on flour, as this is a major food industry exhibition.  With Nine Grain Atta, we are addressing the rising demand for healthier food options,” said Kayali.

The launch of Nine Grain Atta comes at a time when consumers worldwide are seeking out healthier, more wholesome food products. The Indian subcontinent, in particular, presents a significant opportunity for Agthia, given the region’s cultural reliance on atta as a staple ingredient in daily meals.

This product is a testament to our ability to innovate and adapt to changing consumer preferences. We are not just providing flour; we are offering a solution that supports healthier lifestyles,” Kayali added.

Agthia, a leading food and beverage company based in the UAE, is making significant strides in expanding its reach beyond its home market.

The company has seen rapid growth in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, having completed six acquisitions under its 2025 strategy. This expansion has allowed Agthia to increase its footprint across seven countries, including Saudi Arabia, Oman, Jordan, Egypt, Turkey, the UAE, and Kuwait.

In addition to the agribusiness segment, which includes flour and animal feed, Agthia has also made inroads in the water and food, protein, and snacking segments.

Kayali highlighted that the company’s flour brand, Grand Mills, holds a dominant 45% market share in the UAE, while Agrivita, its animal feed brand, commands 42% of the local market. Both brands are integral to the UAE’s food security initiatives.

We’re not just looking to expand regionally. We see tremendous growth potential in global markets, especially India, and we are positioning ourselves to cater to these growing consumer demands,” Kayali said.

For Agthia, events like Gulfood are essential in showcasing its product innovations and fostering industry connections. Gulfood provides a platform to engage with professionals, explore collaboration opportunities, and introduce new products that address the changing needs of consumers.

Gulfood is a crucial event for us to showcase our brands and explore new partnerships,” Kayali stated.
